Barnardos Australia is seeking a dedicated Senior Manager to join our team in Bruce, ACT. This is a full-time opportunity to be part of a values-led organisation committed to making a real difference in the lives of children and families.
About the Role
As a Senior Manager, you will:
- Lead program managers and their teams to deliver a range of integrated services to support vulnerable children and their families.
- Monitor service quality to ensure programs are client-focused, safe, effective and aligned with Practice and Outcomes Frameworks.
- Provide visible, responsive leadership and support to Program Managers and staff, encouraging effective communication and guidance on management issues.
- Motivate programs to contribute to agency development, developing staff skills and talents to achieve Barnardos objectives
- Lead best practice intervention and support through continual monitoring and review of program practices and outcomes, including introduction of innovative models as necessary.
You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team delivering high-quality, trauma-informed services that uphold child safety, cultural safety, and family-led practice.
Skills and Experience :
- Relevant Social Care related degree or equivalent level of experience.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide advice on complex case management matters.
- High level knowledge of social, economic, health and cultural factors affecting children & young people and their families.
- 5 years + demonstrated management experience.
- Understanding the needs of children/young people from disadvantaged families, with experience in case management.
- Demonstrated ability to work respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities, including a strong understanding of cultural safety, self-determination, and the historical and contemporary factors that impact Aboriginal peoples.
What’s on Offer:
- Base salary: $125,500 – $153,400 per annum (pro rata, if applicable) + 12% superannuation
