About the Role You will assess, diagnose, and provide evidence-based psychological therapies to clients referred by General Practitioners and other client referral avenues.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering focused psychological strategies including CBT, psycho-education, relaxation strategies, skills training, and interpersonal therapy
- Working with adult clients and young people
- Maintaining accurate and timely electronic clinical records
- Participating in case reviews, care planning, and case conferences with GPs and allied health professionals
- Preparing clear, professional written reports for referring practitioners
- Contributing to service planning, clinical protocols, and quality improvement initiatives
About You
You are a thoughtful, capable clinician who values evidence-based practice and collaborative care. You are confident working independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
You will bring:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology
- Current AHPRA registration (Clinical Psychology endorsement or eligibility towards endorsement)
- Current Medicare registration as an approved provider
- Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and delivery of evidence-based psychological therapies
- Understanding of primary mental health care and the needs of adults and young people
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence using electronic clinical record systems and MS Office
