Our client is currently recruiting for a Quality Compliance and Policy Officer to support their quality and impact in Sydney's Northern Beaches.

This role will involve:

  • Developing, reviewing and maintaining organisational policies, procedures and templates to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practice across aged care, disability and mental health sectors
  • Monitoring legislation, regulatory requirements and industry trends, and providing timely, accurate advice to support quality and risk functions
  • Managing incident, complaint and feedback systems, including investigation, reporting, correspondence and continuous improvement actions
  • Planning and conducting internal audits, supporting external audits, and driving corrective actions to strengthen service quality and risk management
  • Partnering with teams to embed quality systems, promote continuous improvement, and ensure policies are practical and understood in day‑to‑day practice

They are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience in quality, compliance, policy or governance roles within community services, health, aged care, disability or mental health settings
  • Strong policy writing, research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, usable documentation
  • Demonstrated experience managing incidents, complaints and audit processes within regulated environments
  • Well‑developed stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and influence positive change
  • A values‑driven approach, with a commitment to safe, person‑centred and rights‑based service delivery

The requirements for this role include:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in law, policy, auditing, health, human services, social sciences or a related discipline
  • Knowledge of, or ability to quickly develop knowledge in, Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS Practice Standards and Mental Health standards
  • High‑level written communication and document management capability, with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience using client or quality management systems
  • Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and meet regulatory timeframes

Additional Information (if required):

  • This is a newly created role reporting to the Manager, Quality & Risk
  • Standard working hours fall between 8:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday
  • The role works closely with service teams to support continuous improvement and organisational readiness
  • Ongoing professional development and performance reviews are built into the role
