Deliver end-to-end HR administration and employee support in a fast-paced environment.

  • Sydney CBD, on-site
  • $53-58ph + super + salary packaging (only available through abrs)
  • Casual assignment until September 30th
abrs is recruiting for an experienced People & Culture Officer to join a NSW Government department on an immediate assignment based in Sydney CBD!

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and has strong employee lifecycle administration experience.

This role will involve:
  • Provide high-quality HR support by responding to employee enquiries and resolving first-contact HR requests.
  • Manage the end-to-end administration of onboarding, offboarding and employee lifecycle changes.
  • Process a range of HR transactions accurately while ensuring compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Educate and support employees in using HR self-service systems, including SuccessFactors, ServiceNow and other HR platforms.
  • Monitor and manage HR requests through to completion, providing timely updates and ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Support the Employee Experience team with operational HR activities and project work as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance HR processes, workflows and customer service.
The requirements for this role include:
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end employee lifecycle administration, including onboarding, offboarding and employment changes.
  • Experience providing first point of contact HR support, responding to employee enquiries and delivering a high standard of customer service in a busy HR or shared services environment.
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to accurately process HR transactions while managing competing priorities.
  • Experience using HR systems (such as SuccessFactors, ServiceNow or similar HRIS platforms) and promoting employee self-service.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Additional Information:
  • Location: Sydney CBD
  • Casual Assignment: ASAP to 30th September 2026
  • Full-time: 38 hours per week
  • Pay Rate: $53-58ph + super + salary packaging (with abrs!)
  • Must be willing to complete a National Police Clearance check
