The Team Leader oversees front-line service delivery within the Drug, Alcohol and Mental Health Program, providing leadership and support to case workers across case management, clinical decision-making, staff performance, and duty of care. The role ensures culturally responsive, high-quality service delivery while contributing to service improvement, risk management, and the implementation of the organisation’s Quality Improvement Plan.
This position is Aboriginal identified. To perform this role, it is essential that the person who holds the role be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. About the role
- Lead and support frontline staff across intake, assessments, case management, referrals, and day-to-day service delivery.
- Provide supervision, coaching, and reflective practice to strengthen team capability and promote positive client outcomes.
- Help improve and develop Drug, Alcohol, and Mental Health programs to ensure they remain culturally safe and responsive to community needs.
- Support the delivery of early intervention and wellbeing programs that improve outcomes for First Nations clients and families.
- Build strong relationships with community services, stakeholders, and partner organisations, representing the organisation at meetings and networks.
- Coordinate team workloads, reporting, and daily operations to ensure services run smoothly and effectively.
- Ensure client records, case notes, and reports are completed accurately and in line with organisational and funding requirements.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and culturally responsive workplace while supporting quality improvement and compliance practices.
- Relevant qualifications in leadership, management, community services, or a related field, with experience working in First Nations organisations or community services.
- Strong ability to work with First Nations communities, with demonstrated cultural awareness and respectful, culturally safe communication skills.
- Experience leading and supporting teams, with solid knowledge of case management and frontline service delivery.
- Understanding of Drug and Alcohol, Mental Health, Trauma, and Child Protection, with the ability to work collaboratively with services and stakeholders.
- Strong administration and compliance skills
- Current WWVP ACT, Drivers License and Criminal History Clearance
