Helpline Officer – Aged Care & Disability
Provide intake, assessment, referral, and safeguarding support to vulnerable adults within a NSW Government department.
- Parramatta CBD with WFH flexibility
- Full-time, 6-month engagement with flexible hours between 8am-5pm
- Potential for permanency following the contract period!
This role will involve:
- Split your day between phone-based intake and support work, administration, referrals, documentation, and team collaboration
- Supporting vulnerable adults experiencing abuse, neglect, exploitation, or crisis
- Conducting risk assessments and gathering sensitive information via phone
- Liaising with internal teams and external services to coordinate support pathways
- Working within a trauma-informed and person-centred framework
- Experience in crisis response, intake, safeguarding, within aged care, NDIS or child protection
- Ability to receive and process sensitive information relating to abuse, neglect, and safeguarding concerns in a calm and professional manner
- Ability to manage sensitive and emotionally complex conversations
- Confident with documentation, systems, and professional communication
- Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
- $51.81 - 55.73+ super + salary packaging
- 6-month full-time engagement
- 35-hour work week with flexible hours between 8am - 5pm
- Hybrid working arrangement – WFH 5 days per fortnight
- Parramatta office location
