Finance Officer

The Finance Officer supports the effective financial operations of a reputable not-fot-profit organisation

  • Penrith based permanent part-time role (7 hours p/w)

abrs is proud to be partnering exclusively with Nepean Community & Neighbourhood Services to recruit a Finance Officer to support the effective financial operations of the organisation through the administration of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support and financial reporting activities.

This role will involve:

  • Processing accounts payable invoices and maintaining accurate supplier records
  • Generating debtor invoices and monitoring outstanding accounts receivable balances
  • Completing monthly bank reconciliations and processing financial journals and adjustments
  • Supporting payroll administration including record management and payroll reconciliation activities
  • Assisting with preparation of financial reports and internal financial data for organisational reporting
  • Maintaining accurate financial records while supporting compliance with financial and legislative requirements

The requirements for this role include:
  • Qualification or relevant experience in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping or Business Administration
  • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable or financial administration
  • Experience supporting payroll processing or payroll record management
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams
  • Proficiency using financial systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Permanent part-time 7 hours p/w (Wednesdays 7 hours OR Wednesday + a day of your choice at 3.5 hours each)
