abrs is proud to be partnering exclusively with Nepean Community & Neighbourhood Services to recruit a Community Worker to support culturally safe, community-led programs for children, young people and families across Cranebrook and the broader Penrith area.

This role provides an opportunity to contribute professional skills and community connection to programs that support young people and families, promote wellbeing, and strengthen connection to community.

This role will involve:

  • Facilitating after-school and school holiday activities and wellbeing programs for teenagers
  • Designing and delivering educational and life skills activities that promote confidence, wellbeing and community connection
  • Supporting community members through information, advice and referral pathways to relevant services
  • Maintaining accurate program participation records and supporting reporting requirements


  • The requirements for this role include:Qualification OR relevant experience in Community Services, Youth Work, Social Work or a related field
  • Experience working with vulnerable children, young people or families in community settings
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and community partnership skills
  • Current Working With Children Check, National Police Check and Driver’s Licence
  • Additional Information:Part-time (4 days, 28 hours per week)
  • Office location: Cranebrook
  • $41.96ph + super + salary packaging (Above award!)
  • All travel re-imbursed in-line with fortnightly pay
  • Regular supervision and ongoing training
