Business Development Manager, NDIS

As a key member of the leadership group, you will drive strategic growth, strengthen referral networks, and expand service reach, while staying deeply connected to purpose and community impact. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced NDIS environment, leads through relationships, and is motivated by outcomes that genuinely improve people’s lives.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the organisation’s growth strategy and referral pipeline. You will be a trusted external ambassador building long-term partnerships with Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, Allied Health professionals, hospitals, and community organisations while working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless participant onboarding and service delivery.
This role will involve:
- Develop and execute business development and growth strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead and manage key referral relationships across the NDIS and broader community sector.
- Proactively source, engage, and onboard new NDIS participants
- Represent the organisation at networking events, expos, and community forums.
- Collaborate with operations and service delivery leaders to ensure exceptional participant experience.
- Track pipeline performance, leads, and conversions through CRM reporting.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and NDIS policy changes to identify growth opportunities.
- Strengthen brand presence, reputation, and trust within the disability and community sector.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within NDIS, disability, aged care, or community services
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role (NDIS experience highly regarded).
- Strong working knowledge of the NDIS framework, participant pathways, and referral ecosystems.
- A track record of meeting or exceeding growth and intake targets
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A self-driven, organised, and results-oriented approach with strong accountability.
- Valid NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work onsite 3–4 days per week in Parramatta.
