Our client is looking for an experienced Speech Pathologist to join the team in Liverpool working with a range of paediatric caseloads. This role works closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide support, guidance, and ongoing therapy to clients on the NDIS funding scheme.

Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the communication abilities and needs of paediatric clients. Utilize specialized assessment tools and techniques to accurately diagnose communication disorders and develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Multimodal Communication Strategies: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that incorporate multimodal communication strategies to facilitate language and communication development. Utilize techniques such as tactile signing, auditory-verbal therapy, braille, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems to maximize communication skills and independence.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including educators, occupational therapists, audiologists, and families to provide holistic care and support for clients. Coordinate efforts to address the unique needs of each child and ensure consistency across educational and therapeutic settings.
  • Family Education and Support: Provide ongoing education, training, and support to families and caregivers to empower them in facilitating communication and language development at home. Offer guidance on effective communication strategies, adaptive equipment usage, and techniques for creating an accessible environment that promotes the child's overall development and well-being.
  
Requirements
  • A Degree Qualification – Speech and Language Pathologist
  • Unrestricted driver’s license
  • Current full SPA Registration
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team

Additional Information 
  • A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking a National police checks.
