Our trusted client is looking to recruit an experienced HR Generalist on a fixed term contract within their purpose-driven, values-led organisation in Sydney's Northern Beaches


This role is ideal for a hands-on HR generalist who enjoys partnering closely with leaders, providing trusted advice, and leading end‑to‑end people initiatives in a fast‑moving environment.


About the role

Reporting into the senior people leadership function, you’ll provide both operational and strategic HR support across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll work closely with leaders to deliver workforce solutions aligned to organisational priorities while also leading day‑to‑day HR operations.


This role will involve

  • Partnering with leaders on performance management, employee relations and workforce matters
  • Leading end‑to‑end recruitment, onboarding and employment lifecycle processes
  • Providing high‑quality advice on HR policies, awards and Australian employment legislation
  • Supporting learning & development initiatives, succession planning and capability building
  • Managing HR compliance, employee records, and HR systems
  • Contributing to well-being, WHS and return‑to‑work processes
  • Coaching and supporting HR team members (where applicable)

They are looking for candidates with

  • Solid experience as an HR Advisor / HR Generalist / HR Business Partner
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment and WHS legislation
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with leaders at different levels
  • Experience managing employee relations, performance matters and recruitment
  • High attention to detail, sound judgement and discretion
  • Comfort working in a fast‑paced, values‑driven environment
  • Strong systems capability (HRIS, MS Office; LMS exposure desirable)
  • To be successful in this, you will have3 - 6 years relevant experience in a HR Advisor/Generalist role
  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related discipline may be preferable but not essential
  • Demonstrated skills in best practice leadership, managing and developing a small team
  • Generalist background with strong knowledge in HR policies and practices with strong partnering experience
  • Expert knowledge of Australian employment law, WHS legislation, regulations and practices
